Distillation is a sterilization method that boils aloe vera fluid and then collects pure steam (distillate) that is free from bacteria and contaminants.  What is left after steam distillation is a more gentle form of aloe, removing any solids and irritants, leaving beyond aloe vera's cellular water that is gently hydrating, shelf-stable, and free of preservatives and impurities. After distillation, aloe water has a neutral pH of 7 but contains vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from the aloe plant.

No, Aloe Eyes does not contain aloin or aloe latex. It is made exclusively from the inner leaf of the Aloe vera plant, which is the section that does not have aloin. Additionally, Aloe Eyes undergoes fractional distillation, and we do not recommend using raw aloe vera because it may contain aloe latex which can cause irritation when used around the eye area.
